Searching for practicing teacher websites proved to be a lot more of a help than I first thought.  There are so many great websites out there that offer a lot of help to new teachers and even to veteran teachers.  Teachers work together to make their jobs easier and more fun for all.   This is a list of my top four websites that I have saved for future references and help!!

1. Busy Teacher's Cafe
This website is very useful for teachers that may seem to be struggling a little with organization and time. It has different activities and lesson plans based on seasons and any themes that the teachers may want to use.  One of the things that I like the most about this website is that it has useful information for classroom management.  I know that management is one thing that I am worried about in my own class, I like to think that kids will be kids but know in the classroom that can't always be the best way for classroom management!  There are a ton of links that teachers can use for free printable worksheets and even coloring pages for all subjects and seasons.  This website even provides other resources for teachers to visit if they are not finding what they need here.

2. Laura Chandler's website
One thing that I can say about this website is WOW.  This teacher is so organized at putting her website together, I am pretty sure that her classroom is run just as organized.  She has what she calls a filing cabinet on the website and it offers free printable activities and lessons for all grades and all subjects. She has information on all strategies that can be used in the classroom from cooperative learning to multiple intelligence.  I guess one reason why I do love this website, is she has workshops on there that teachers are able to go to for further education in her area.  I think that there should be a lot more websites out there that will update workshops to help teachers better themselves through continued learning.

3. Teaching Ideas
This website is a dream come true for a new teacher!  There are so many different printables for activities and they are all based by age and then subject and even season.  They even suggest books to be reading for each grade that go around the season and time of year.  I think that it is a great chance for teachers to be able to expand their literacy knowledge for their students with this website.  While making lesson plans teachers may not always look outside the norm of what they teach for new books but this website offers suggestions on books based on grade and learning levels. They even have a section on classroom management and how to create lesson plans.  The thing that stood out most for me was that they even have classroom countdowns, I love having countdowns to special days up in my house and think that it would be very fun in the classroom, especially one to countdown til summer!

4. Teacher Vision
With this website it is amazing.  There is literally so much information that a teacher can find on this website.  They have tabs and new windows for everything from classroom management, calendars, graphic organizers and so much more for teachers.  The website does everything by grade, theme and season.  That is one thing that I have seen in common with all of the websites, they set everything by theme and seasons.  A teacher really do not have to do much work other than make sure that everything is in line with their own state standards and what they are going to be teaching.  One thing that I love is that they have bulletin board ideas, for the not so artsy teacher to help make their room more creative and fun.
